Post Divorce Issue #5: Having Faith In Your Abilities

Having faith in yourself and in your abilities and talents increases self-confidence, self-esteem, self-awareness, and re-enforces a positive mindset. Without faith in who you are as a very unique individual, you can easily become dysfunctional. To become successful in anything you set your mind on, including career goals, you MUST engage your mind in a process of perpetual learning, and self-improvement. Always remind yourself that continuous self-affirmation increases confidence. There’re a few strategies I can share that will enable you to strengthen your faith in who you are as a person.

One of such strategies is what Napoleon Hill, author of Think and Grow Rich refers to as “auto-suggestion,” which simply put, is your repetition of thoughts or ideas that re-affirm your positive self-image. For example, if you look into a mirror every morning, and say something positive about your self-image, eventually you will come to believe such positive words. I am working on a book that will give you several tips on how to build your faith and unique identity.
